The “Russian Market for Aramide Fibres 2011” is an updated version of the 2010 version.
Within the framework of the new version research was carried out on the following: existing manufacturers and consumers of aramide fibers were interviewed in July, 2011 (manufacturers of optical cables, ballistic and heat-resistant fabrics, non-woven materials, composites, automotive components, plastic pipes); the data of Federal Customs Service for the period 2006-2011 (Jan-Aug) were analyzed with full detailed elaboration of parameters of traded products. All changes which happened in the Russian market in 2010-2011 have been illustrated in the report.
The report presents an in-depth analysis of supply and demand for aramide fibers in Russia. This studding is constructed on a fundamental understanding of the product, characteristics, physicochemical properties. The technical characteristics of the following were compared and analyzed: Rusar, Twaron, Kevlar, Armos, Kermel, SWM, Nomex, Arselon, NewStar and others.
As a part of the study the end uses formed in Russian market were identified and described – ballistic and heat-resistant fabrics, optical cable, composites, automotive components, plastic pipes.
The key market indicators such as production volume, consumption volume, import, export were presented. As for foreign trade not only aramide fibers but also semi-finished and finished aramide goods were studied.
