Alamo Group (Alamo) is engaged in the design, manufacture, distribution and service of equipment for right-of-way maintenance and agriculture. The company offers tractor-mounted mowing and other vegetation maintenance equipment, street sweepers, excavators, vacuum trucks, snow removal equipment, pothole patchers, agricultural implements and related aftermarket parts and services. It primarily operates in the US, England, France, Canada and Australia. It is headquartered in Seguin, Texas and employs approximately 2,300 people. The company recorded revenues of $524.5 million during the fiscal year ended December 2010 (FY2010), an increase of 17.5% over FY2009. The increase in the revenues was primarily due to the inclusion of a full year of the results of Bush Hog which was acquired in last quarter of 2009. The operating profit of the company was $30.9 million during FY2010, compared to an operating profit of $4.4 million in FY2009. The net profit was $21.1 million in FY2010, an increase of 13.3% over FY2009.
