Lithium and Lithium Compounds Production, Market and Forecast in the CIS (Russian Version)

This report presents an overview of the lithium - and its compounds - market in the CIS. Information sources include the Federal State Statistics Service of Russia (FSSS RF), Federal Customs Service of Russia (FCS), official statistics of domestic rail transportation of Russian Federation, as well as proprietary InfoMine data. The report consists of seven chapters and contains 89 pages, including 31 tables, 15 figures and 2 Appendices.
The first chapter is devoted to the mineral resource base and production of lithium products abroad. It presents data on world production of lithium resources and prices of lithium products. The chapter describes the largest producers of lithium compounds and raw materials.
The second chapter is devoted to the mineral resource base of lithium in the Russian Federation and countries of CIS. A brief description of the balance of deposits of lithium and promising raw materials is given.
The third chapter analyses foreign trade operations in lithium and its compounds in 2000-2010. It presents data on exports and imports of the products, and estimates regional pattern of supply.
The fourth chapter contains information about the production of lithium and lithium compounds in Russia in 2000-2010, the main producers, GOSTs (state standards) and specifications for manufactured lithium products.
The fifth chapter is devoted to the consumption of lithium and its compounds in Russia. The chapter describes the enterprise-consumers of lithium products, and presents calculation of the supply-demand balance of lithium and its compounds in 2001-2010.
In the sixth chapter of the report the structure of consumption of lithium and its compounds is presented.
The seventh chapter is devoted to the description of programs to develop Russian lithium industry and new projects.
The eighth chapter of the report contains a forecast of production and consumption of lithium and its compounds in Russia up to 2017.
In the Appendices, contact information of producers and consumers of lithium and its compounds is given.
