This report investigates the current condition of the cement market in the Central Asian Region of CIS and forecasts its development up to 2015. The report includes seven Sections and contains 82 pages, including 21 tables, 20 figures and 2 Appendices.

The first chapter of the report provides a brief description of the global cement market during the period of 2000-2010, as well as its development prospects.

In the second chapter, the raw materials for the cement industry in the countries of CIS is analyzed. It presents data on reserves of cement raw materials, regional pattern of their distribution, as well as information about the resource bases of the leading producers of cement.

The third chapter is devoted to the production of cement in the countries of the Central Asian Region of CIS. This section provides statistics of production in 2000-2010, and data on the volumes of cement production by individual enterprises. Also in this chapter, analysis of the current position of the leading players in the cement market of the countries is given, which includes data on the available production capacities, the product range, development plans of the enterprises, and destinations of cement supply.

In the fourth chapter of the report, customs statistics on foreign trade in cement in the countries of the CIS Central Asian Region are analyzed, and information about the regional structure of the export-import supplies is provided.

The fifth chapter is devoted to the analysis of pricing in the cement market of Central Asia. In this section, the prices of cement in the domestic markets of Central Asia in recent years is considered, and an overview of the export and import prices is given.

The sixth chapter of the report is devoted to the consumption of cement; it provides a supply-demand balance of the product in these countries over the past 9 years, and an estimate of consumption of cement in these markets. Also in this section, analysis of the position of the construction industry in the CIS countries and its development prospects are provided.

The seventh chapter forecasts development of the cement market in the Central Asian countries of CIS up to 2015.

The Appendices provide contact information for the producers of cement, as well as the existing classification of cements and requirements of cements imposed by the state standards.

This work is a desk-based study. Information sources include the Inter-State Committee on Statistics of CIS, the UN database, the U.S. Geological Survey, the regional press, annual and quarterly reports of the companies, web-sites of enterprises, information databases of enterprises, and InfoMine's own database.
