This report presents an overview of the scandium market and its compounds in the CIS.
Information sources include Rosstat, Federal Customs Service of Russia, official rail statistics of the RF State Committee on Statistics of CIS countries, regional press, and InfoMine's proprietary data.
The report consists of seven sections, containinig 52 pages with 15 tables, 5 figures and an Appendix.
The first chapter is devoted to the mineral resource base and production of scandium and its compounds. It provides information on world production and prices of scandium.
The second chapter is devoted to the mineral resource base of scandium in the Russian Federation and CIS countries. It gives a brief description of the balance of deposits of scandium.
The third chapter analyzes scandium and its compounds foreign trade in CIS countries during 2001-2010. It presents data on volumes of exports and imports of the product and an estimation of the regional structure of supplies.
The fourth chapter presents information on the production of scandium compounds in Russia in 2001-2010. The main producers are profiled and specifications for manufactured Scandium products outlined.
The fifth chapter is devoted to a description of programs for the development of the Russian industry scandium and new projects.
The sixth chapter assesses the consumption of scandium in Russia.
The seventh chapter examines prospects for the applications of scandium in the country.
The Appendix lists contact information for producers of scandium and its compounds.
