This book helps the nonprofit sector and its leaders figure out how to effectively shepherd a change process in their organization. The book is based on research from TCCs organizational effectiveness studies and results from the core capacity assessment tool (CCAT, used with over 1000 organizations), which provides an assessments lifecycle score that reflects the organization's current stage of development. The book provides an outline of the trajectory of organizations along the lifecycle and best practices of how to move successfully through the lifecycle, including the use of templates and resources to assist their movement. Each chapter contains case studies, as well as best practices, tools and templates to guide readers on where to focus capacity-building efforts for the greatest impact in a given organization and on the field.
