Major themes addressed include advanced methods of robust design, optimizing process claims with the help of mathematical models, mathematical optimization methods for robust product design, and mathematical models for the combination of active and passive load-carrying components within a system network. The conference papers are grouped in sections on uncertainty in development, in production, and in usage.
