Abstract
Standard & Poor's Ratings Services has assigned its 'A-' long-term rating, and a stable outlook, to Wonder Lake, Ill.'s series 2011 general obligation (GO) limited-tax debt certificates, reflecting the certificates' limited security as general fund obligations. At the same time, Standard & Poor's has assigned its 'A' issuer credit rating (ICR) to the village, reflecting our assessment of Wonder Lake's: Very strong market value per capita and strong income level indicators; Good, but nominally small general fund balance on a modified accrual basis; Moderate overall net debt burden as a percentage of market value; and "Standard" financial management practices.
