Deutsche Trust Bank Rating Raised To AA; Off CreditWatch Oct 99

Abstract
TOKYO (Standard & Poor's CreditWire) Oct. 5, 1999--Standard & Poor's today raised its long-term counterparty rating on Japan-based Deutsche Trust Bank Ltd. (formerly Japan Bankers Trust Co. Ltd.) to double-'A' from double-'A'-minus. At the same time, the rating on Deutsche Trust was removed from CreditWatch, where it was placed on July 19, 1999. The outlook on the long-term rating is negative, identical to the parent Deutsche Bank AG (AA/Negative/A-1+). The rating action follows the restructuring of parent Deutsche Bank Group's trust operations in Japan after the merger of Deutsche Bank and Bankers Trust Corp.
