Abstract
NEW YORK (Standard & Poor's) Nov. 11, 2011--Standard & Poor's Ratings Services assigned its 'AA+' rating, and stable outlook, to Ohio's $146.16 million general obligation (GO) bonds refunding bonds consisting of $100.35 million common schools GO refunding bonds, series 2011C; $28.095 million higher education GO refunding bonds, series 2011B; and $17.23 million infrastructure improvement GO refunding bonds, series 2011C. At the same time, Standard & Poor's affirmed its 'AA+' rating on the parity debt outstanding. The outlook is stable. We understand that bond proceeds will be used refund bonds outstanding for interest cost savings. The GO rating reflects what we view as: Ohio's long track record of proactive financial and budget management, including its implementation of frequent and timely budget...
