NEW YORK (Standard & Poor's CreditWire) Aug. 19, 1999-Standard & Poor's today assigned its double-'Bpi' financial strength rating to Citizens Fidelity Insurance Co. A Little Rock, Ark.-based stock company, Citizens Fidelity is licensed in Arkansas and operates only in that strate. Its major lines of business are individual life and individual annuity with a focus on products principally to fund the insurer's funeral expense, with the majority of the insurance in force providing benefits in the form of merchandise or services through the Roller Funeral Homes of Arkansas. The company is wholly owned by Lynn and Sue Jenkins. The company, which represents itself primarily through independent general agents, commenced operations in 1959.
