Bulletin: Tenaga Nasional's Dividend Policy Not Expected To Affect Rating Apr 07

Abstract SINGAPORE (Standard & Poor's) April 17, 2007--Standard & Poor's Ratings Services said today that Tenaga Nasional Bhd.'s (Tenaga; BBB/Stable/--) recent announcement of a new dividend policy, in itself, is not expected to result in a material weakening of its financial profile in the near to medium term. The policy is therefore not expected to have an impact on the rating. Nonetheless, Standard & Poor's remains cautious on Tenaga's aggressive financial profile, which does not leave substantial room for further weakening in its credit-protection ratios, without resulting in downward pressure on its ratings.
