Abstract
Standard & Poor's Ratings Services has affirmed its 'AA-' long-term rating on Lancaster County Hospital Authority, Pa.'s $99 million series 2007A and 2007B hospital revenue bonds, issued for Lancaster General Hospital (Lancaster General). The rating outlook is stable. The ratings reflect our assessment of Lancaster General's: Continued adequate cash flow and debt service coverage, although operating income is much lower than recent years; Healthy balance sheet, characterized by low leverage, strong liquidity, and a well-maintained physical plant; and Excellent business position, highlighted by a very dominant market share in Lancaster County.
