Houston, TX's Series G-2 CP Notes Assigned 'A-1+' Rating Dec 11
Standard & Poors, December 2011
DALLAS (Standard & Poor's) Dec. 8, 2011--Standard & Poor's Ratings Services said it assigned its 'A-1+' short-term rating to Houston, Texas' series G-2 general obligation (GO) commercial paper (CP) notes and affirmed its 'A-1+' short-term rating on the city's series G-1 GO CP notes. The rating is based on our view of the city's strong general creditworthiness ('AA' GO debt rating) and unlimited ad valorem taxes levied on taxable property in the city that secure the bonds. For additional information on the short-term rating on Houston's GO CP notes, including the series G-1 and G-2 programs, see the report published Nov. 10, 2011, on RatingsDirect on the Global Credit Portal.
