Abstract
Barclays Capital Inc. (BCI) is a registered U.S. broker-dealer and an indirect, wholly owned subsidiary of Barclays Bank PLC (Barclays; AA-/Negative/A-1+). We consider BCI to be core to Barclays under our group rating methodology. We are assigning 'AA-/A-1+' ratings on BCI, in line with those on Barclays. The outlook is negative, reflecting that on Barclays.
