Abstract
Tokyo -- Standard & Poor's CreditWire 11/11/97 --Standard & Poor's today assigned its 'AA' long-term counterparty credit rating to Barclays Trust & Banking Co. (Japan) Ltd. The rating is based on the close relationship with its parent, 'AA' rated Barclays Bank PLC. The rating also is supported by the company's low risk business profile and ample capital and liquidity. Barclays Trust & Banking (Japan) was established in Tokyo as a wholly owned subsidiary of Barclays Bank in 1986 upon the Japanese Ministry of Finance's granting of a trust banking license.
