Abstract
NEW YORK (Standard & Poor's) July 27, 2006--Standard & Poor's Ratings Services raised its long-term unenhanced rating and underlying rating (SPUR) on Massachusetts Health and Educational Facilities Authority's debt, issued for Partners HealthCare System Inc., to 'AA' from 'AA-', reflecting the system's improved financial profile over the past two and a half years. The long-term portion of a number of Partners' dual ratings was also raised. The outlook is stable. "We expect that Partners HealthCare System's improved financial profile should allow the system to manage through a higher capital expenditure cycle, which has already started," said Standard & Poor's credit analyst Martin Arrick.
