Research Update: Russian Standard Bank Ratings Affirmed At 'B+/B' And 'ruA' On Bank Criteria Change; Outlook Stable Dec 11

Abstract
Following a review of Russian Standard Bank under Standard & Poor's revised bank criteria (published on Nov. 9, 2011), we have affirmed our 'B+/B' and 'ruA' ratings on the bank. The outlook is stable. The ratings on Russian Standard Bank reflect our 'bb' anchor for a commercial bank operating in Russia, its moderate business position, capital and earnings, and risk position, average funding, and adequate liquidity. In our view, the bank is expected to continue to manage its moderate business and risk position due to focus on unsecured consumer lending with good earnings capacity and improved funding.
