Abstract
Standard & Poor's Ratings Services affirmed its 'AA-' long-term rating and underlying ratings (SPURs) on Fulton County Development Authority, Ga.'s revenue bonds outstanding, issued for Georgia Tech Facilities, Inc. (GTFI). The 'AA-' rating reflects the strong institutional characteristics of the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) and the Board of Regents' obligation to make fixed rental payments sufficient to pay debt service, subject to annual renewal. The rating is one notch higher than comparable Georgia Board of Regents' leases on other university campuses because these leases are also payable from legally available revenues of Georgia Tech, which we consider to be a credit strength.
