TORONTO (Standard & Poor's) Dec. 14, 2011--Standard & Poor's Ratings Services will host a teleconference Wednesday, Dec. 14 at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time to provide market participants an overview of how it applied its new criteria to Canadian banks, and how ratings changed as a result. On Dec. 13, Standard & Poor's published its updated credit ratings on nine Canadian financial institutions. This update applied Standard & Poor's new global ratings criteria to Canadian institutions, as part of a global update.
