Abstract
NEW YORK (Standard & Poor's) Dec. 16, 2011--Standard & Poor's investment-grade and speculative-grade composite spreads remained unchanged yesterday at 225 basis points (bps) and 738 bps, respectively. By rating, the 'AA' and 'BBB' spreads remained at 150 bps and 283 bps, respectively, and 'A' widened by 1 bp to 198 bps. The 'BB' spread contracted by 1 bp to 517 bps, 'B' remained unchanged at 784 bps, and 'CCC' expanded by 2 bps to 1,209 bps. By industry, financial institutions and telecommunications remained unchanged at 360 bps and 370 bps, respectively. Banks widened by 1 bp to 417 bps.
