Vi-Jon Inc. Downgraded To 'B' As Competitive Pricing And Cost Pressures Weaken Profitability; Outlook Stable Dec 11

Abstract
U.S. private-label manufacturer Vi-Jon's operating performance and credit metrics have weakened as a result of competitive pricing pressures and higher commodity costs. We are downgrading the company to 'B' from 'B+'. We are also revising our recovery rating on the company's senior secured debt to '3' from '2' and lowering the issue-level rating on this debt to 'B' from 'BB-'. The stable rating outlook reflects our view that credit protection measures will remain at or near their current levels over the next 12 months.
