Standard & Poor's Ratings Services bases its ratings on Taiwan-based Taishin Financial Holding Co. Ltd. (Taishin FHC) on the stand-alone credit profile (SACP) of Taishin International Bank Co. Ltd. (Taishin Bank; BBB/Stable/A-2, cnA/cnA-2), which is a "core" entity of the Taishin FHC group, and the holding company's subordination to the group's core entities. The SACP of Taishin Bank is 'bbb'. This reflects the bank's 'bbb' anchor, "adequate" business position, "adequate" capital and earnings, "adequate" risk position, "average" funding, and "adequate" liquidity, as our criteria define those terms.
