Abstract
NEW YORK (Standard & Poor's) Dec. 29, 2011--Standard & Poor's Ratings Services said today that its Dec. 7, 2011, placement of ratings on Soci-t- G-n-rale (SocGen; A+/Watch Neg/A-1) on CreditWatch with negative implications does not affect its ratings on Public Energy Authority of Kentucky Inc.'s (PEAK) gas prepay transaction (A/Watch Neg/--) since the rating on the bonds is currently lower than the rating on SocGen. The CreditWatch placement on SocGen followed Standard & Poor's placement of its 'AAA' unsolicited long-term sovereign rating on the Republic of France on CreditWatch with negative implications on Dec. 5, 2011. If we lower the long-term rating on France by one notch to 'AA+', or two notches to 'AA', we expect to lower our long-term...
