Standard & Poor's Ratings Services updated its recovery report on Wayne, Pa.-based software and technology services company SunGard Data Systems Inc. as part of its surveillance. The recovery ratings are unchanged. Our default scenario reflects the pending sale of SunGard's higher education business to Hellman & Friedman as discontinued operations, with $1.25 billion estimated net proceeds applied pro rata to term loan repayment. Our default scenario simulates execution issues in the continuity services business, as well as technical issues in the financial software business, leading to customer defections.
