Sacred Heart University, CT 'BBB' Bond Rating Outlook Revised To Positive On Strong Financial Trends Jan 12

Abstract
BOSTON (Standard & Poor's) Jan. 6, 2012--Standard & Poor's Ratings Services has revised its outlook to positive from stable on bonds issued by Connecticut Health & Educational Facilities Authority for Sacred Heart University. At the same time, Standard & Poor's assigned its 'BBB' long-term rating to the series H revenue bonds and affirmed its 'BBB' long-term rating and underlying rating (SPUR) on the university's previously issued revenue bonds. The bonds are a general obligation of the university. "The positive outlook and 'BBB' rating reflects our assessment of the university's consistently strong operating performance, growing enrollment with stable demand, and increasing financial resources," said Standard & Poor's credit analyst Nick Waugh.
