Trends for global transportation equipment leasing sectors mirror those of global economy and world trade, according to a panel on global transportation equipment leasing, hosted by Standard & Poor's Ratings Services. The panelists believe that the leasing sectors (aircraft, marine cargo containers, and railcars) face uncertainty regarding a sustained recovery in operating performance as we ring in 2012. Sovereign debt issues in Europe and the prospect of cooling emerging market economies such as China, weigh on the sectors.
