Abstract
ARAUCO's operating and financial performance has remained aligned with our expectations. We are affirming our 'BBB' ratings on the company. We believe the company will continue to benefit from its very strong competitive position, allowing it to sustain its main credit metrics in accordance with our expectations for the rating. On Sept. 28, 2011, Standard & Poor's Ratings Services affirmed its 'BBB' ratings on Chile-based forest products company Celulosa Arauco y Constituci-n S.A. (ARAUCO). The outlook remained stable. We based our affirmation on the company's maintenance of operating and financial performance in line with our expectations.
