Abstract
Standard & Poor's Ratings Services affirmed its 'BBB+' long-term rating on the Louisiana Local Government Environmental Facilities and Community Development Authority's $319.52 million combined series 2010A and 2010B fixed-rate bonds, issued for Woman's Hospital Foundation (Woman's). The outlook is stable. The 'BBB+' rating is based on our view of: Woman's strong business position as the state's leading provider of women's and infants' services, coupled with historically very solid operations and excellent operational liquidity; Woman's significant increase in debt to fund its replacement hospital project, which placed stress on Woman's balance sheet; and Significant construction and post-opening challenges inherent in a large-scale replacement facility project, although most recent reports from management indicate that the project is ahead of schedule and on...
