Abstract
DALLAS (Standard & Poor's) Jan. 10, 2012--Standard & Poor's Rating Services said today that the Jan. 5, 2012 University System of Georgia recommendation for the consolidation of eight campuses, proposed by Chancellor Hank Huckaby, will not have any immediate effect on the ratings assigned to the revenue bonds of four entities of the system. The Board of Trustees is expected to act upon the recommendation at its Jan. 10 and Jan. 11 meeting. The proposal, if approved, would immediately consolidate eight campuses, four of which have related revenue bonds with Standard & Poor's ratings of A+/Stable, related to their respective foundations: Gainesville State College, North Georgia College & State University (Dahlonega); Middle Georgia College (Cochran), and Macon State College.
