Bulletin: Endo Pharmaceuticals Rating Not Affected By Expected Supply Constraints Jan 12

Abstract BOSTON (Standard & Poor's) Jan. 10, 2012--Standard & Poor's Ratings Services said today that Endo Pharmaceutical Holdings Inc.'s (BB/Stable/--) announcement that potential short-term supply constraints of certain analgesic medications, following a temporary shut down of a Novartis facility, will not affect its rating or outlook on the company. Although the exact timing of the shutdown is not known at this time, we believe efforts to move some production from the affected facility to in-house production facilities, and the already planned shift to Grunenthal Pharma for production of crush-resistant Opana ER, should help minimize the disruption.
