Abstract
The 'AA' long-term rating assigned to St. Louis County R-III School District (Pattonville), Mo.'s series 2010 general obligation (GO) bonds and the 'AA' underlying rating (SPUR) and 'AA' school issuer credit rating (ICR) on the district's previously issued GO debt reflects Standard & Poor's Ratings Services' view of the district's: Participation in the St. Louis metropolitan area economy; Good income levels and extremely strong market value per capita; Good financial management practices, which continue to support strong reserves, measured on a modified cash basis of accounting; and Low debt burden. The 'AA+' enhanced rating on the district's previously issued bonds has been affirmed, reflecting participation in the Missouri Direct Deposit Program. An unlimited-tax GO pledge secures the series 2010 bonds....
