FRANKFURT (Standard & Poor's) June 23, 2005--Growth in the European residential construction sector is likely to continue its slowdown in 2005 and 2006, after the boom in many European markets over the past few years, says a report published today by Standard & Poor's Ratings Services entitled "Industry Report Card: European Engineering & Construction." "This is reflected in somewhat lower residential housing orders and permit levels across some of the European markets in the second half of 2004 and the first four months of 2005 compared with previous years," said Standard & Poor's credit analyst Izabela Listowska, one of the authors of the report.
