Abstract
On March 30, 2006, Standard & Poor's Ratings Services affirmed its 'BBB+' long-term and 'A-2' short-term corporate credit ratings on French toll-road network operator Autoroutes du Sud de la France S.A. (ASF). The ratings were removed from CreditWatch with negative implications, where they were placed on Aug. 31, 2005. The outlook is stable. France-based construction and concession group Vinci S.A. (BBB+/Stable/A-2) announced on March 28, 2006, that it was launching a ?2.53 billion equity increase to finance part of its acquisition of ASF. This equity increase will represent 28% of ASF's acquisition price (on a 100% capital basis). This is in line with our expectations for the 'BBB+' long-term rating on Vinci.
