Abstract
SAN FRANCISCO (Standard & Poor's) Feb. 9, 2006--Standard & Poor's Ratings Services affirmed its ratings on the jointly supported issues outlined below. These rating actions are the result of Standard & Poor's revised criteria for rating jointly supported obligations. The revised, more refined approach reflects Standard & Poor's in-depth default correlation research and extensive analysis of speculative-grade default risk. Under the new criteria, ratings are derived from a more sophisticated calculation of the joint probability of default, including explicit default risk correlation assumptions. The criteria refinement extends the application of this approach to speculative-grade obligors, potentially expanding the number of transactions that could benefit from this type of analysis.
