American Airlines Inc. Pass-Through Certificates Assigned 'A-' And 'BB+' Ratings Jan 11

Abstract NEW YORK (Standard & Poor's) Jan. 25, 2011--Standard & Poor's Ratings Services said today that it has assigned its 'A-' rating to American Airlines Inc.'s (American) series 2011-1 Class A pass-through certificates with an expected maturity of Jan. 31, 2021, and its 'BB+' rating to the series 2011-1 Class B pass-through certificates with an expected maturity of Jan. 31, 2018. The final legal maturities will be 18 months after the expected maturity. The issues are a drawdown under a Rule 415 shelf registration. We assigned preliminary ratings to the certificates Jan. 20, 2011.
