LONDON (Standard & Poor's) Aug. 15, 2003--Standard & Poor's Ratings Services said today it placed its 'A-/A-2' corporate credit ratings on Sweden-based electric utility Graninge AB on CreditWatch with positive implications. This action follows the announcement that Swedish electric utility Sydkraft AB (A+/Watch Neg/A-1) may acquire a controlling interest in Graninge. At the same time, the 'K-1' Swedish commercial paper rating on Graninge was affirmed. "The CreditWatch placement reflects the potential positive benefits for Graninge of being integrated into a stronger group," said Standard & Poor's credit analyst Andreas Zsiga.
