Abstract
Standard & Poor's Ratings Services affirmed its 'AA+/A-1+' rating on New Hampshire Health and Educational Facilities Authority, N.H.'s series 2002, 2003 and 2007A-C bonds, issued on behalf of Dartmouth College. At the same time, Standard & Poor's affirmed its 'A-1+' short-term rating on the college's $75 million commercial paper (CP) program. The 'A-1+' short-term rating reflects Dartmouth's general credit strengths and experience in managing its own liquidity. The college demonstrates sufficient liquid assets of high credit quality, largely in U.S. Treasuries, money market funds, and U.S. agencies; these can be used to cover the purchase price of variable-rate demand bonds (VRDBs) or CP, which has been tendered but not successfully remarketed.
