Abstract
Standard & Poor's Ratings Services' base-case outlook for 2012 for the U.S. leisure sectors we follow is stable to slightly positive across all sectors, including gaming, lodging, cruise lines, theme parks, and other leisure companies. This outlook reflects our economists' current expectation for modest growth in key economic measures in 2012, including real GDP and consumer spending, as well as persistent high unemployment. While our economists continue to signal high potential for the U.S. falling into another recession, many leisure companies we follow successfully visited the capital markets over the past year or so to address covenant tightness or debt maturities.
