Abstract The ratings on Banque F-d-rative du Cr-dit Mutuel (BFCM) are based on its membership of the French Cr-dit Mutuel retail banking group, whose constituent cooperative entities are rated A+/Stable/A-1. The following analysis is based on the business and financial profile of BFCM's parent regional federation, Cr-dit Mutuel Centre Est Europe (CMCEE). Standard & Poor's considers BFCM's and CMCEE's credit risk to be identical, because of BFCM's total operational integration within the CMCEE group. BFCM primarily acts as CMCEE's central clearer.
