Standard & Poor's Ratings Services assigned its 'AA' rating, and stable outlook, to Wyandotte County/Kansas City Unified Government, Kan.'s series 2005A GO refunding bonds based on the unified government's unlimited-tax pledge. Although all past and current debt issues and issuances in the future remain a GO of the unified government, the property tax base, subject to the unlimited-tax pledge, will vary because the unified government might issue as a city, applying to the former Kansas City, Kan. property tax base, or as a county, applying to the slightly larger countywide property tax base.
