Abstract
Standard & Poor's Ratings Services assigned its 'AA' long-term rating to Wyandotte County/Kansas City Unified Government, Kan.'s series 2010F taxable general obligation (GO) improvement bonds (recovery zone economic development [RZED] bonds -- direct pay), and series 2010G taxable GO improvement bonds (qualified energy conservation bonds -- direct pay). At the same time, Standard & Poor's Ratings Services affirmed its 'AA' long-term and underlying rating (SPUR) on the unified government's existing GO debt. The outlook on all bonds is stable. Although all past and current debt issues and additional issuances remain a GO of the unified government, the property tax base, subject to an unlimited-tax pledge, will vary because the unified government might issue as a city, applying to the former...
