Abstract
Standard & Poor's Ratings Services assigned its 'AA' standard long-term rating, and stable outlook, to Wyandotte County/Kansas City Unified Government, Kan.'s series 2007A GO refunding bonds and affirmed its 'AA' standard long-term rating and Standard & Poor's underlying rating (SPUR), with a stable outlook, on the unified government's preexisting GO debt based on an unlimited-tax pledge. Although all past and current debt issues and additional issuances remain a GO of the unified government, the property tax base, subject to an unlimited-tax pledge, will vary because the unified government might issue as a city, applying to the former Kansas City, Kan. property tax base, or as a county, applying to the slightly larger countywide property tax base.
