Abstract
SAN FRANCISCO (Standard & Poor's CreditWire) June 4, 2001--Standard & Poor's has assigned its double-'A'-minus rating to California's $42.00 million veterans GO bonds series BX-1, issued for the California Department of Veterans Affairs. The bonds are scheduled to sell on June 7, 2001. In addition, Standard & Poor's affirmed its double-'A'-minus rating on California's outstanding veterans GO bonds and its double-'A'-minus rating on the California Department of Veterans Affairs' outstanding home purchase revenue bonds. The outlooksare stable. The double-'A'-minus ratings reflect the credit strength of the Veterans Farm and Home Building Fund of 1943 (1943 Fund). The rating on the Veterans GO bonds also incorporates the statutory nature of the 1943 Fund as a separate fund of the California state...
