Abstract
Standard & Poor's Ratings Services assigned its 'AA' long-term rating to the village of Plainfield, Ill.'s series 2012 general obligation (GO) refunding bonds. We also affirmed our 'AA' long-term rating and underlying rating on the village's previously issued GO debt. The outlook on all ratings is stable. The ratings reflect our view of the village's: Access to the deep and diverse Chicago metropolitan area economy, Very strong income levels and very strong market value per capita, Very strong general fund reserves, and Moderate debt burden as a percentage of market value.
