Abstract NEW YORK (Standard & Poor's CreditWire) Nov. 17, 2000--Standard & Poor's today affirmed its ratings on Allegheny Energy Inc. (A+/A-1 corporate credit rating) and its subsidiaries, Allegheny Energy Supply Co. LLC (A+/A-1), Allegheny Generating Co. (A+/A-1), West Penn Power Co. (A+/A-1), Monongahela Power Co. (A+/A-1), and Potomac Edison Co. (A+/A-1). At the same time, Standard & Poor's revised its outlook on the companies to negative from stable.
