Devon Energy Corporation (Devon) is one of the largest independent oil and gas companies in North America. The company is primarily engaged in the exploration, development and production of crude oil and natural gas resources in the US and Canada. Its operations in the US are located in Rocky Mountains, Permian Basin, Gulf Coast and Mid Continent. Devon’s Canadian Operations are located in Horn River Basin, Deep Basin, Foothills, Central, Northwest, Lloydminster and thermal oil projects in Alberta. Devon also operates marketing and midstream segment. Its marketing segment includes marketing of natural gas, crude oil and Natural Gas Liquids (NGLs), storage, processing and treating of hydrocarbons. The company’s midstream operations include a transportation pipeline network, storage tanks, treating facilities and natural gas processing plants. Devon operates a 13,000 miles long pipeline base in the US and Canada. It owns and operates around 65 plants to process natural gas and extract NGLs. Devon operates a pipeline network of more than 6,500 miles in length, around 300 compressor facilities, and eight gas processing plants. The company’s major midstream assets in Canada include its interest in 56 plants with a net inlet capacity of around 1.2bcf/d. The company’s midstream assets portfolio also includes the Access Pipeline system in Canada, which is a 220-mile long pipeline system. It owns a 50% stake in this pipeline. Access pipeline connects the Jackfish area to Edmonton’s synthetic crude and light oil market through Sturgeon Terminal
