Standard & Poor's Ratings Services assigned its 'A' long-term rating to Yelm, Wash.'s series 2012 limited tax general obligation bonds (LTGOs). At the same time, Standard & Poor's affirmed its 'A' long-term and underlying rating (SPUR) on the city's existing general obligation (GO) bonds. The outlook on all ratings is stable. The ratings reflect our view of the city's: Very strong wealth in terms of market value per capita; Very strong finances, with recent operational surpluses improving them further; and Good financial policies and practices.
