Abstract
Standard & Poor's Ratings Services has assigned its 'AA+' long-term rating and stable outlook to North Carolina Capital Facilities Finance Agency's series 2012 bonds, issued on behalf of Davidson College. At the same time, Standard & Poor's affirmed the 'AA+/A-1+' rating on the agency's series 2000B bonds, issued on behalf of the college. The 'A-1+' short-term rating component reflects Standard & Poor's opinion of the college's own liquidity. The rating reflects our assessment of the college's strong financial resource ratios relative to the rating category, as well as continued surplus operating performance on a generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) basis, consistently strong demand, and stable enrollment.
