Abstract Standard & Poor's Ratings Services assigned its 'AAA' rating, with a stable outlook, to Cambridge, Mass.' series 2008 GO bonds. At the same time, Standard & Poor's affirmed its 'AAA' rating on the city's GO parity debt. The outlook is stable. The rating reflects the city's: Dynamic local economy, which is centered on Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT); Above-average wealth and income factors, including a high market value per capita; Strong financial position, due to an experienced management team, and strong management policies; and Below-average debt burden and manageable capital plan.
